Mourinho keeping quiet on his future

by faststeady

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is refusing to speak about his future at the La Liga champions and says he remains focused on their Champions League encounter against Ajax on Tuesday evening.

It is fair to say that Mourinho’s side have not enjoyed the most successful campaign so far as they are already eleven points adrift of Barcelona at the top of the Spanish top flight. The Portuguese boss is constantly being linked with a number of clubs around Europe, but insists he is fully committed to Real.

When asked about where he may end up next, the 49-year-old simply replied “I am not going to speak about this.”

The Spanish media have criticised Mourinho’s tactics a number of times this campaign and have raised a number of questions as to whether he is the right man for the job, just months after he delivered the La Liga title in such convincing style.

Mourinho is known as one of the best manages around right now and many of the top European clubs would love to have him at the helm of the side.

Wherever he has gone so far, he has won trophies and has lifted the Champions League trophy twice in the past.

If we look at some of the betting for where the Real Madrid boss could be heading next, you will see that it is Manchester City who are the favourites to be his next club at 6/4.

Roberto Mancini knows he may have to deliver the Premier League title to stay in a job at the Etihad Stadium, and the clubs owners may go for Mourinho if he becomes available.

Then, Chelsea, who have Rafael Benitez in interim charge at Stamford Bridge are at 5/2 to have the Special One back for a second spell in West London.Manchester United are then at 7/2, with any national team then out at 16/1.

For now though, it is all about turning this campaign with Real Madrid around and chasing Champions League glory for third time for Mourinho.
